10 step Korean skincare routinePhilippines

  1. Double cleanse

The first step in Korean skincare routine is cleansing with an oil cleanser. This method begins by removing your make-up; this is known as prepping your face.

Remove sebum and bacteria using a gentle oil cleanser and warm water. Just massage the oil cleanser into your skin gently, add warm water, then rinse.

According to Cho, “Oil eliminates impurities without drying out your skin.”

Oil cleansers are not only soothing to use; they also remove make-up and other oil-based pollutants like sebum and other dirt especially when you come home from being outside.

  1. Cleanse again

This isn’t overkilled; thorough cleansing is the best way to keep your face radiant and acne-free.

Dermatologists and aestheticians highly recommend cleansing twice for the easy Korean skincare routine. This is to get rid of all the dirt and impurities that can cause breakouts and skin problems.

So, follow up your double cleanse with a mild cream or foaming cleanser. While oil-based cleansers are for the oil and sebum on your face, water-based cleansers eliminate water-based impurities such as sweat.

Just remember, though, to apply on your damp face and in soft, circular motions, then rinse with lukewarm water.

  1. Buff and exfoliate

Keeping skin supple means scrubbing off dead cells often. But you don’t have to buff your entire face each night.

Cho suggests to “focus your efforts on areas that really need it, like visible pores on your cheeks or blackheads on your nose.”

Cho explains that this step removes any residue left behind after the first three steps. It also balances out your skin’s PH to further prepare it for the next steps in the routine.

Use a cotton pad and lightly swipe the toner all over your face. You can also just tap the product using your clean, bare hands.

  1. Essences

This ultra-concentrated nourishing liquid is known to many as the “heart” of Korean skincare regimens.

It revitalizes skin cells, making it firmer and more elastic. Cho suggest to tap it into the skin after a generous spritzing. Make sure you pat it into the face and neck.
