For some couples, having a family is the best thing life can offer. Sadly, these couples are usually the ones who have a hard time conceiving.

Thankfully there are ways to cope with infertility, and it starts with filtering out the common misconceptions about it. Daniel Joseph of Parent Herald offers four of them.

1. Relax and be patient

You may not know this, but waiting may not be the best option for you. In the process of taking it easy, you may be losing precious time.

“It’s generally recommended that you wait until you’ve been having regular unprotected sex (this means roughly 2 – 3 times a week) for a year before you visit your doctor for further investigation,” said an Ask Baby article.

2. Just adopt a baby

3. It’s better to remain childless because of overpopulation

“Everyone has a right to be a parent. Most people also have a desire to experience loving and caring for their own biological children,” said Daniel. “Overpopulation should never discourage responsible couples from trying and seeking suitable infertility treatments to have their own kids.”

4. Trying to solve infertility is going against God’s will

Some medical interventions are heaven-sent.”
