Aging skin is something that can’t be avoided but can thankfully be prevented! Being in your 20’s is the perfect time to start taking good care of your skin to save yourself a lot of stress (not to mention money) in the future.
1. Prevention is better than cure
A wrinkle is scarring in the skin, so it will naturally take a long time to heal. Don’t procrastinate and start taking care of your skin now by using a daily sunscreen that has at least SPF 30, that can fight against the harmful effects of the sun and pollution.
2. Wrinkles don’t happen overnight
You may love the sun but it is actually one of the main causes of wrinkles. Everyday sun exposure means we slowly accumulate wrinkles that we will one day wake up and just suddenly notice. A healthy diet with foods rich in antioxidants and vitamins A and C will make you see amazing results.
3. Look alive
Stressful days and tiring nights is the everyday routine for most people. Stress can manifest by the way your skin looks. When you’re tired, your skin looks dry and dull so you should try and get some beauty rest. Unfortunately, not everyone can be well rested but everyone can certainly look that way by using moisturizers that rejuvenate and plump up skin.
A healthy diet also contributes to glowing skin. Eating green leafy vegetables and fruits will improve your skin by reducing inflammation.
4. Anti-aging products prevent breakouts
Anti-aging products are worth investing on because they can also prevent breakouts.
Exfoliants get rid of dry skin and unclog pores while products with anti-inflammatory ingredients such as vitamin C can reduce acne.
5. Shrinks your pores
You can’t make your pores disappear, but you can make them look smaller with the help of antioxidant and exfoliating ingredients in anti-aging products. They also cleans out the pores to make your skin look fresh and tight.
6. Goodbye, skin cancer
Taking care of your skin isn’t just for beauty reasons since it can have a big affect on your health. Being exposed to harmful UV rays from the sun will eventually lead to skin cancer. In order to keep you and your skin healthy everyday applying sunscreen on your face even on a gloomy day is a must.
