Ashton Kutcher has been in the public eye for almost 20 years, first as a model, then as an actor, producer, and investor. But this new dad is adamant about keeping his young daughter away from the spotlight.

When asked by Entertainment Tonight if he would allow his daughter Wyatt (who is turning 2 in October) to join the industry, Kutcher answered with a resounding “No.”

Though Kutcher and his wife Mila Kunis try their best to keep Wyatt out of the public eye, they are still hounded by paparazzi.

He went on to clarify that he’d be alright with Wyatt following in his and wife Mila Kunis’ footsteps if she was old enough to decide for herself. “When it is a choice that she is making, then I think it is fine… As long as it’s not a choice that she is making, it is my job to protect her from all this nonsense.”

Kutcher, 38, and Kunis, 33, are currently expecting their second child. Though they’re putting in their best efforts to raise their children right and make sure that they don’t grow up entitled, they’re far from perfect.

Just last month, Kutcher shared a photo of him holding back his laughter after hearing Wyatt say a bad word.

He explained what happened to Entertainment Weekly. “Mila comes into the bedroom and is like ‘Puppy peed on the stairwell,’ and I go ‘F**k,’ and I walk away like this and all of a sudden, I hear behind me, ‘F**k,’” he recounted. “I turn around [and] she legitimately is like, ‘F**k,’ and I was like, ‘Fox. I said fox. Papa said fox.’”

Thankfully for Kutcher, Wyatt eventually bought it, and started saying “fox” instead.

“Fox is fine. You can go with fox all day,” the relieved father quipped.
