Most moms are anxious when it’s their child’s first time to go on an airplane. How will the altitude affect the baby? What if they end up seated beside unforgiving strangers?

Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes took a different route for Baby Zia’s first plane ride… The royal couple chartered a private sea plane to take them to Palawan over the Easter weekend!

Here is a photo on Instagram posted by their pilot Captain John Goulet. According to his co-pilot First Officer Xaxa Manalo, they departed on Maundy Tuesday.

They didn’t have to worry about long check-in lines and could choose the time of their flight. Air Juan, their airline of choice, boasts, “Find your perfect island or seaside resort and fly there direct from harbour to beach with our new seaplanes.”

They flew to Huma Island Resort & Spa where they stayed until Easter Sunday. Here are photos from the Instagram accounts of Dingdong and Marian.

Dad Dingdong hopes that his little princess grows up to be a “climate warrior,” just like him. After all, appreciating what one is fighting for is half the battle.

So how did Baby Zia fare during her first plane trip? Captain John shares that he “could hear (her) laughing and babbling happily the whole flight and then she suddenly fell asleep before we landed.” Well done, Baby Zia!
