Following confirmation of his split from his girlfriend and the mother of his youngest child, Bernard Palanca took to Instagram to post a touching message for his son, Isaiah.

“My son, I’m truly very sorry for not taking better care of your mother and our relationship. I’m sorry I couldn’t keep us together,” the heartbroken actor Bernard Palanca lamented over the demise of his relationship with Jerika Ejercito, daughter of former President Erap Estrada.

The message was accompanied by a collage of photos of two year-old Isaiah.

In his message, Bernard Palanca also promised to always prioritize Isaiah, along with Elijah, another son from his previous relationship with Meryll Soriano.

“I want you to know that despite what happened, you still are and always will be my number one. Both you and you’re brother are my life and always will be my source of strength no matter what happens.”

“One day I’ll be able to explain everything to you in a way that you can understand how life is and works,” Palanca swore.

“I love you with everything that I am @Boobie and please don’t ever forget that I’m just here and will always just be here ok? Papa loves you very much, and misses you so so much more,” he also said.

According to an article by Rachelle Siazon on  PEP.ph, Palanca, in Instagram exchanges with his followers, pointed to Ejercito replacing him as the cause of the breakup.

“For the record, I didn’t let her go. She replaced me,” Palanca clarified.

But Ejercito, PEP.ph said, vehemently denied this.

“To set the record straight…once and for all, no one replaced anyone just like that. I have kept our breakup very private out of respect for the father of my child. There are MANY, MANY PAINFUL reasons why I decided I have had enough and it is my right to keep it between the two of us,” Ejercito said.

“We had a good run for 4 years…but in the end I had to choose the lesser evil. So please stop with the speculations,” she also said.

Ejercito also revealed that they have been apart for almost a year now.
