In mid-2015, a photo of 10 moms wearing their military uniforms while breastfeeding their babies, earned the praise of the internet.
Photographer Tara Ruby captured the stunning shot in her home of El Paso, Texas.
Not only did it inspire many working breastfeeding moms, it opened up an interesting global conversation about the beautiful balance of being a breastfeeding-slash-working mom.
Tara knew she stumbled upon something powerful and so, inspired by the positive reception, she proceeded with her mission to capture breastfeeding moms in uniform.
This time around, she has chosen yet another powerful subject: a breastfeeding mom in a firefighter’s uniform.
“The first thing that came to my mind was a firefighter,” Ruby told Huffington Post. “And the response is just extremely positive.”

Tara told Huffington Post that these photography sessions are free.
She previously photographed a doctor wearing her lab coat while breastfeeding her baby.
Currently, Tara is working with a police officer and is looking forward to photographing other working breastfeeding moms in uniform.
Tara posted a status on her facebook account opening up her project to other moms who’d like to be a part of it!
We can’t see more stunning photos that will become part of this growing, empowering series!
