Cebu Pacific issues reminders to Fly Easy as travel picks up

Cebu Pacific issues reminders to Fly Easy as travel picks up

Passengers on domestic flights must be at the airport 3 hours before departure.

As travel protocols become easier, travel has begun to pick up right in time for the summer season. With the rise in passenger traffic, Cebu Pacific (CEB) and Cebgo are reminding passengers to go early to the airport so they can fly easy with CEB.

“We are excited to welcome our valued guests who are finally pushing through with their long-overdue trips to reunite with friends and family. We are seeing growth in passenger traffic, so we urge every Juan to allot enough time to go through the pre-departure procedures for an overall seamless journey,” said Candice Iyog, Vice-President for Marketing and Customer Experience at Cebu Pacific.

Here are the travel reminders:

  1. Be On Time

Passengers traveling in the new normal are reminded to allot ample time for security inspection, check-in, bag drop and other pre-departure processes.  This means passengers must be at the airport at least three (3) hours before departure for domestic flights, and four (4) hours for international flights.

  1. Do Online Check-in

Long lines may be avoided at the airport by checking in via the official CEB mobile app or via the Manage Booking section of the CEB website. Both options are available from seven (7) days up to one (1) hour before scheduled time of departure for domestic flights; and up to four (4) hours before scheduled departure for international fliers.

  1. Self-Tag Luggage for Select Domestic Destinations

Guests flying out of select domestic destinations (Manila, Davao, General Santos, Bohol, Iloilo, and Zamboanga) are reminded to self-tag their check-in luggage prior to proceeding to counters for bag drops, in line with the airline’s contactless flight procedures.

  1. Check Flight Information

All check-in counters close one (1) hour before the scheduled time of flights to ensure  there is ample time for all necessary pre-flight procedures. If possible, passengers must immediately proceed to their respective boarding gates. Boarding commences 45 minutes before the scheduled departure.

  1. Hand Carry and Exemptions

CEB also reminds its passengers to bring only one carry-on bag for a more convenient flight experience. The carry-on bag must not exceed 7kg in weight and can fit in the overhead bins or under the seat. CEB recently added exempted items allowed to be carried on top of their single hand carry bag such as gadget or food items that cannot be checked-in; items purchased inside the airport (requires proof of receipt); assistive or medical items such as walking canes, foldable walkers; or a small bag that can fit under the seat.

Adult passengers traveling with infants may also bring one additional bag containing baby food and necessities.  CEB reminds everyJuan to properly pack their bags and avail of prepaid baggage allowance to avoid any other additional fees at the airport.

  1. Check The Airport Terminal Assignment Of Your Flight

Everyjuan is encouraged to check their itineraries and boarding passes before proceeding to their designated Airport Terminal. Effective March 28, 2022, all Cebgo (DG) flights to and from Manila will be operating from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 4 (NAIA T4).

Travelers are still strongly advised to check for updates with the authority of their destination prior entry. They may also refer to this link for more information.

Guests must also update contact details on their bookings so they will be notified of pre-flight reminders and flight changes.

CEB operates with 100% fully vaccinated active flying crew. CEB has already started its booster program to ensure the continued safety of its employees and passengers.

The airline has also been rated 7/7 stars by airlineratings.com for its COVID-19 compliance as it continues to implement a multi-layered approach to safety, in accordance with global aviation standards. Its jet fleet is equipped with hospital grade HEPA (High Efficiency Particular Arrestor) air filters, keeping viruses at bay.

CEB operates the widest domestic network in the Philippines covering 34 destinations, on top of its 14 international destinations. It has a 74-strong fleet, one of the youngest in the world, which includes two (2) dedicated ATR freighters.
