As we look forward to Father's Day, let's take a look back on some of the most heartwarming dad tributes from some of our favorite celebrities!
1. Sarah Geronimo
In an intimate interview with Boy Abunda, she shared that she draws strength from her dad Delfin, who she considers one of her biggest inspirations.
“Marami akong pagkukulang bilang anak. Yun yung pinagpapasalamat ko ng malaki kasi yung nanay at tatay ko, hindi sila napapagod na mahalin kami at tanggapin kam,” she said, adding how her dad has supported her completely throughout her career as a singer and actress. “Siya yung grabe talagang mag-push. Sobra kong pinagpapasalamat din yung pagiging faithful niya sa mommy ko. Kaya sabi ko kung magkakaroon ako ng partner in the future, sana katulad ng tatay ko.”
2. Kim Chiu
“We may not always see each other but im thankful that you’re our papa! thank you for everything,” wrote the Cebuana actress on instagram alongside a photo of her with her dad William last year. Her parents separated when she was only 9 years old and her father moved to Mindoro, where he remarried and started a new family. Despite having little to no contact for five years since she won Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition in 2006, Kim managed to reconnect with her parents. Sadly though, her mother passed away shortly after they were reunited.
3. Julia Barretto
Ever since the controversial issue broke out in 2014 of Julia wanting to drop her dad Dennis Padilla’s surname, the father and daughter have patched things up.
The reconciliation was all thanks to an accidental meeting at a gym, “It just happened. But we talked. We’ve been talking even before meeting,” she shared, “It wasn’t like we patched things up there. We patched things up even before that incident. As a daughter, it makes me really happy because at the end of the day, he’s still my dad. No matter what, gusto ko sa huli okay kami, walang hard feelings.”
In February 2017, Julia posted an adorable throwback photo of her with her dad and younger sister, Claudia, with a short but sweet message: “Happy birthday, popsicle!”

The mom-to-be is grateful to have a cool dad.
“Napaka-cool,” she shared in an interview with PEP, adding how her dad action star Robin Padilla has guided her as she started her acting career. “Even when he’s (giving advice), the way he talks is so cool!”
Growing up, Kylie recalls having “boyish” interests thanks to her bonding moments with her dad, which often consisted of heading to the shooting range in Fairview.
“Pa, mahal na mahal ko po kayo and salamat po sa lahat ng payo,” said Kylie when asked what her message for her dad would be, “I couldn’t wish for any other dad and I love you.”
5. Yeng Constantino
Award winning singer/songwriter Yeng Constantino owes her passion for music to her dad, her best friend and teacher, who encouraged her to sing, play, and write songs.
“️I remember yung time na dinala ako ni Papa sa mall akala ko magwiwindow shopping kami dun sa music instrument store. Pero biglang sinabi ni Papa pili ka na,” she recalled on instagram. “Ayun dun ako unang nagkagitara. I remember nung time na nahihiya ako magsabi ng opinyon ko sabi nya sakin ‘Kung may sasabihin ka at alam mong importante at makakatulong sabihin mo.’ Thank you Papa for everything lalo na sa pagpupuyat nyo ni Mama sa pagsama sakin sa lahat ng singing contests at bar gigs ko dati. I would not be here if di unang naniwala ang Papa ko sakin.”
