A mom-of-two was shopping when she came across the horrifying sight as a child destroys makeup display at a Sephora store in the United States on Saturday (November 16).

Child destroys makeup display

Brittney Nelson, who is also a makeup artist, took photos of the incident and posted it online.

In the post, she said the display rack of premium makeup brand Make Up Forever eyeshadow was destroyed “due to a small child.” She admits, however, that she never actually saw the child do it.

In Nelson’s interview with INSIDER, she said she and her friend “walked in right as a lady and her kid were hustling out of there,” and that the glittery footprints helped [us] decipher it was a tiny human.”

Following the incident, she urged parents to “shop for your makeup without [your] tiny humans” — in a post which has since gone viral.

Mom-shaming

The post has garnered 21 thousand comments as of writing. Some people seem to have agreed that a child could have caused the incident. Others, however, were quick to point out Nelson’s “advice”. Some netizens said asking parents to leave their children at home while shopping is a form of “mom-shaming.”
