The 22-year-old singer had a bright career ahead of her. She made it to the top 3 of The Voice U.S.A. back in 2014 and has gained thousands of fans, touring across the world, continuously rising to stardom since making her TV debut.

But the rising pop star’s bright future was stolen away from her after a concert in Orlando, Florida. She was signing autographs when a man, later identified as Kevin James Loibl, 27, of St. Petersburg, Florida, opened fire, fatally shooting her multiple times in the head, reports CNN. He then turned the gun on himself in an apparent suicide.

An eyewitness claims she welcomed him with arms wide open, as she would do any normal fan.

Despite the tragedy, an outpouring of love and support is providing comfort to those who loved the young artist. Heartwarming stories have now begun to surface proving that she was not only a talented singer but a kind human being as well.

The latest in these touching stories is that of a fan named Sadie, who recently tweeted the late singer about the passing of her mother.

The message didn’t go unnoticed.

Christina took time to send her words of comfort and encouragement through a private direct message.
