3-year-old daughter left critical after vicious attack

Doctors say that the 3-year-old's neck wounds were so deep, she might not be able to speak again even if she recovers from the injury.

According to reports, a 25-year-old mother, named Janelle Mangulabnan was raped and then killed by one of their neighbors. The rapist also attacked her 3-year-old daughter who remains critical after her throat was slit.

He slit the child’s throat because she wouldn’t stop crying

Based on the investigation, the suspect was apparently drinking along with the victim. The suspect then told the victim to have sex with him.

When she refused, that’s when he attacked the victim and raped her. After raping her, he then slit her throat, as well as the 3-year-old’s because the child wouldn’t stop crying.

The victim’s father started to get worried when he went to their house and found that the door was locked. That’s when he tried to call her and when she wasn’t picking up, he forced open the house and found her daughter and granddaughter covered in blood.

The suspect was found hiding in the ceiling

After the incident, the suspect, Jayson del Valle, 32, an electrician, was found hiding in the ceiling of the home where the incident happened.

The 3-year-old is currently recovering in the hospital where her condition remains critical. Doctors say that even if she recovers, there is a possibility that she would not be able to speak because the wounds she received on her neck were very deep.

The suspect is currently in custody and will be facing multiple charges for his crime.
