As we welcome the Year of the Fire Rooster, we also anticipate various Feng shui-based forecasts and predictions.

Feng Shui expert Princess Lim Fernandez, in speaking to Inquirer.net, described the Rooster as being “very charismatic”. As one of the Zodiac’s romance signs, the year of the Rooster is “a good year for marriage and relationships as well as having babies”.

Of the 60 years in the Chinese Zodiac, only the year of the Fire Rooster and the year of the Water Rabbit (in 2023) promises children the gifts of academic luck and benefactor luck.

“Academic luck means the child will never have need for tutoring; they will be very smart kids with a quest for knowledge,” Fernandez explained to the Inquirer. “Benefactor luck indicates that Fire Rooster children will always have someone to support them and help them.”

She also went on to discuss energies, also known as “Flying Stars”, that are reliant upon directions.

For instance, the Wealth Star is located in the east, and so monetary luck will come to those in a room or office facing this direction. However, she cautions, the Wealth star comes with “killer stars” and “this means wealth comes and goes just as easily. So be careful of your money or investments. The more conservative and less risk, the better.”

Aside from being an ideal time for making babies, the year of the Fire Rooster will also favor innovation and those looking for love

“This year, we will be looking at a lot of innovations especially in the media, the Web… Those who are capable of thinking out of the box, of being flexible and being quick, are the ones who will succeed,” revealed Fernandez.

As for those aged 24 or 36 years old, who were born in the year of the Rooster, China Highlights believes that 2017 is a crucial time to decide whether to get married or break up, if a relationship isn’t progressing.

They also advise those born in the year of the Rooster to be calm and patient when handling romantic issues, steering clear of making impulsive decisions.

As for those who are still single, 2017 offers the chance to find a partner. However, they caution, this pairing may be initially unstable so patience may be needed in order for the relationship to thrive.
