A 63-year-old woman in San Jose, California was left paralyzed and is now in critical condition after experiencing a brutal beating at the hands of her husband, 53-year-old Luisito Villaruz, who is also a Filipino.
She had severe injuries after a beating by her husband
Due to the severe head injuries she sustained during the attack, the victim, whose identity has been withheld, suffered paralysis due to swelling and bleeding.
Her husband is now in custody for suspected domestic violence resulting in severe bodily injury.
According to a report by abs-cbnnews.com, when authorities searched the home, they found a rifle, and pistol on the kitchen table.
Her husband has a criminal record in the US for drug possession.
Upon interviewing their neighbors, they found out that the victim was well-loved, some even referred to her as an “angel”.
