Though it pains us to see our beloved moms upset or sad, there are times when they're just too adorably funny without even realizing it. Here are some hugot lines you most likely heard from your own mom over the years! (Some of these you may have said to your own kids!)

Relatable hugot lines that we often hear from moms

1. "Papunta ka pa lang, pabalik na 'ko."

Don't even try justifying your point, she's not having it.

The phrase "Papunta ka pa lang, pabalik na ako," which translates "You're just on your way there, while I'm already on my way back" is an idiomatic expression in Tagalog that older people typically use to try to lecture younger people, telling them that they still have a lot of life to experience that older people have already experienced. The nearest equivalent in English is "Been there, done that."

It is just our mom's way of reminding us how important it is not to waste food.  Don't even try reasoning out with "kung kinain ko ba 'to mabubusog sila?" unless you want to get a spanking.
