One super cool grandfather from China built his grandson a fleet of small ‘Lamborghinis’ all from scratch, so that his grandson can go to school safely, and in style!

He used spare parts and scrap

55-year-old Guo Liangyun took three years to build 4 of the mini luxury cars for his grandson. Amazingly, he used scrap parts from his workshop. What’s more amazing is the fact that this grandfather didn’t have any formal training, he just loves tinkering and creating things.

The mini ‘Lamborghinis’ are electric-powered and can reach up to 40 km/h, with enough battery life to drive around for 60 kilometers.

He shared that he thought of building the cars because he realized how easy his grandson could fall of if he rode on the back of his scooter.

He might encounter a roadblock with his homemade vehicles

Sadly, his grandson’s stylish car service might be short lived, as according to Zhengzhou police, the vehicles that he created aren’t exactly street legal.

They add that the cars lacked seatbelts, which are a requirement for the safety of vehicles that are on the road, regardless of whether they’re production cars or homemade cars.

Regardless, his grandson should be proud that his grandfather is a really talented car builder! Who knows, he might pass on his skill to his grandson, and someday they can start making their own luxury cars.
