- As a parent, taking care of your kids and working at the same time can be troublesome. Taking care of kids is hard enough as it is, and if you're also working while caring for your kids, then working from home can be very stressful.

Working in an office has its perks too
On the flipside, working in an office also has some perks compared to working from home, even for moms and dads.
Here are some benefits to think about:
- You already have a dedicated workspace. If you're working in an office, your company will provide you with a computer, a desk, and a (sometimes) reliable internet connection. Working from home means that you'll have to pay for those things yourself, while if you're in an office it's all provided for you.
- Some people work better in a rigid structure. While being free to work however you want has its perks, some people are actually more efficient if they have structure. Being surrounded by your boss and co-workers provides that structure and some people find that they finish work faster since there's less distraction.
- Some jobs simply can't be done at home. Not all jobs can be home-based. In financial institutions particularly, you'll need to use the software that the company uses as well as be connected to a private network. This means that you'll have limited choices when it comes to home-based jobs.
- You'll have co-workers to help you out. Having trouble with a spreadsheet? Then asking for help is as easy as simply talking to the person sitting right beside you. If you're working from home, you'll need to send an e-mail or send a private message before they can assist you.
Working from home and working in an office both have their pros and cons, and when it comes to choosing which one's right for you, it's just as important to consider your family and how your job will work in your current setup.
