Want to get the kids to sleep, so the two of you can catch up on some alone time? Try snacks with L-tryptophan (say: el-trip-teh-fan). This amino acid spurs the body to make serotonin (say: sare-uh-toh-nin), which calms us down and makes us feel sleepy. Milk, yogurt, soy, bananas, and turkey are all sources. Catalyse the effect with carbs which stimulate insulin production. This helps to sweep away other amino acids, leaving the tryptophan to work its sleepy charm!

How to make a kid go to sleep? Here Are Three Easy Recipes

Full Moon Cookies:

Smoosh two slices of banana between 2 small oatmeal raisin cookies, and freeze for at least 1 hour.

Seedy dreams:

Spread a spoon of cottage cheese on a round whole wheat cracker. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
