Former love team, Joross Gamboa and Roxanne Guinoo plays as a couple in a new iWantTFC original series, Hoy Love You Two. Both actors shared how their onscreen partners respected their work, from Roxanne Guinoo’s husband to Joross Gamboa and his wife.

Gamboa, alongside Guinoo joined the reality show of ABS CBN, Star Circle Quest back in 2004. These two made it into the group of finalists called the Magic Circle of 5, together with co-stars, Hero Angeles, Sandara Park, and Melissa Ricks. Back in 2004, Gamboa and Guinoo reportedly dated each other for 2 years.

After a successful first season, both actors thanked their creative team for another season.
“Maganda kasi talaga ‘yong materyal na naibigay sa amin kaya blessed kami na nabigyan kami ng ganitong materyal na-open for collaboration din. Kapag maganda kasi ang atmosphere sa set lalo na sa comedy, rumirehistro talaga eh,” Gamboa said.
Joross Gamboa reprised his role of Jules in the second season of Hoy Love You starting this month. Gamboa said he is proud and thankful that ABS-CBN was able to produce high-quality entertainment again this year.

During the media conference of Hoy Love You Two on Monday, Guinoo shared,
“Both sides naman supportive, Kasi kung hindi naman supportive, hindi rin naman ito matutuloy, hindi mabubuo ulit ’yung love team. Happy sila. Proud sila.”
She also added that Joross Gamboa is also considerate as they respect each other’s boundaries on set.
“Tingin namin, mature enough na kami para alamin ‘yong mga bagay-bagay. Sa mga eksena, si Joross very gentleman ‘yan.
‘Ano ba ’yung restrictions mo?’ Kasi siyempre ‘yong husband ko, conservative, overprotective. So mula noong nag-asawa ako, nag-set ako ng boundaries na ito lang ‘yong mga puwede kong gawin, para na rin sa mag-aama ko,” she said.
She also added that they have a strong sense of friendship.
“Siguro ang naging susi para magwork ‘yong team up is yung friendship, ‘yong respect sa isa’t isa hindi nawala,” Guinoo mentioned.
Guinoo shared that if something goes wrong, real communication will help their spouse understand their job requirements, especially when portraying romance.
“Iba kasi ‘yong mga asawa namin ni Joross, mga non-showbiz sila. So there are certain things na, siguro, possible talaga na medyo hindi nila maiintindihan.
Ang key lang to that is, i-explain mo lang sa kanila nang maayos and ipaunawa mo sa kanila. May mga bagay na hindi rin talaga nila maiintindihan, ‘yong mga ginagawa ng mga artista. Importante lang ang communication,”

It was known that both celebrities married a non showbiz personality. Joross Gamboa married his wife Kath Kimberly Saga on 2014 while Guinoo married Filipino Chinese, Elton Yap on 2011. Both actors have kids. Guinoo and Yap has three kids up to date and Gamboa already has 2 children.

Gamboa shared that the key to easing his wife’s concern is openness and transparency. The couple tied the knot last 2014.
Even though he and Roxanne were partners before, Joross shared why there is nothing controversial about their onscreen reunion. Joross Gamboa and his wife were understanding about their work.
“‘Yong respeto at saka ‘yong boundaries sa pagiging magkaibigan nandun pa rin kaya kahit matagal kaming hindi nagkakatrabaho, nagkakasama kami sa MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya) tapos after two years MMK or kung ano mang project eh nag-wo-work pa rin kasi we stay professional and respectful with each other.”
He also added,
“Simple lang dito sa bahay eh. There’s openness and transparency. If guided ka naman ni Lord, wala ka na dapat ikatakot.
So kami nandun talaga ‘yong trust and respect for each other so itong passion ko na pag-aartista and kasama sa job na ito ‘yong may makaka-interact akong mga makakapareho ko.
Pero at the end of the day, siya ang pinakasalan ko, siya ang mahal ko,” he explained.

In an interview with an entertainment website, Joross said that you should avoid temptation as much as possible.
“Palagi kong sinasabi, ang temptasyon, hindi nilalabanan, tinatakbuhan. Kasi ilang beses ko nang nilabanan ang temptasyon, palagi akong natatalo.
Kaya bago pa mangyari ang sitwasyon, ang payo ko sa mga kalalakihan, layuan niyo na,” he said.
Aside from his job as an actor. Joross makes sure to spend quality time with his family. Gamboa and his wife’s goals is to always have quality time with their children. In addition to quality time, Gamboa also emphasizes the value of teaching their children to have a personal relationship with God.
