Joyce Pring husband Juancho Triviño on remaining pure before marriage
Joyce revealed how she and Juancho managed to maintain chaste in their relationship as boyfriend-girlfriend. She said they would avoid spending time alone in private places, always spend time with friends, kept accountable for their mentors and disciplers, and have decided to get married immediately. Of course, with God’s grace and guidance.
What Joyce Pring husband Juancho Triviño did with the temptation
Joyce said they would hold on to their faith when temptation arises, and would often think, “If Jesus came back right at this moment, will what we are doing be glorifying to Him or will we feel shameful?”? So they powered through, living a relationship that is pure and is according to His will.
In a blog post Joyce wrote about her marriage with Juancho, she recalls how even in various circumstances, Juancho never took advantage.
When Joyce would drink wine to relieve the day’s stress, Juancho would always bring him home to her condo, dropping her off at the condo’s lobby. The next day, he would greet Joyce with a cup of coffee, as if nothing happened the night before.
At one time, Joyce recalls how Juancho asked for a kiss after their first ‘official’ date, and Joyce firmly said no, giving Juancho just a kiss on the cheek.
Joyce would then go on with the story of growing with Juancho, not just in a romantic relationship but also in a loving and strong faith with God.
“He joined his own church community, then a discipleship group; he was patient and worked through some of my biggest character flaws and issues — he loved me the way I’ve always wanted to be loved, and I thought it too good to be true, so I kept praying for God to take him away completely. And yet the Lord allowed him to stay in my life.”
Joyce and husband Juancho: We prayed for God’s will before marriage
While a lot of people think theirs was a whirlwind romance – with the two meeting in Unang Hirit and dating after – Joyce maintains that their union entailed a lot of prayers.
“While we were going through weeks of pre-marital counseling in our church, Juancho and I would always pray for God’s will to reign. We would reluctantly say, Lord, kung ayaw Mo mangyari tong kasal na to, please tanggalin Mo na kaming dalawa sa buhay ng isa’t isa, ngayon pa lang. This prayer was painful and scary, and sometimes I didn’t want to pray it, but I knew that a life with Juancho without God being glorified is not life at all. So by the Holy Spirit, we kept praying, and seeking counsel, and praying, and God answered in the most beautiful way — through clear skies, both families’ approval, financial provision, our church leaders’ go signal, in His word, and the unshakeable peace in our hearts. We knew the Lord found favor in our desire for marriage not because it was what we wanted, but because through it, He will be most glorified.”

Joyce Pring believes in perfect timing and on God’s will as she quotes,
“This kind of perfect timing and beautiful love story only happens because of God’s grace, and His grace alone. Juancho and I both have done things we regret; we’ve hurt people, we’ve also hurt each other, and in many ways, we have failed God (and continue to do so) — but in His mercy and goodness He allows for joy to overflow in our lives.”
Joyce and husband Juancho tied the knot in February 2020 and are now blessed with a son, Alonso Eliam who just turned 6 months this January. Joyce gave birth on July 2, 2021.
