It looks like it isn’t just the holidays that recently engaged couple Kaye Abad and Paul Jake Castillo will be looking forward to. Their much anticipated wedding is slated for December, Kaye confirmed to PUSH at Francis Libiran’s bridal store opening in Greenbelt.
“Malapit na! Noong nag first fitting kami di ako makapaniwala for how many years kapag nag fitting kami para sa Star Magic ball pero ngayon para na sa wedding ko, ayan kinikilabutan ako! I’m very excited. ‘Di pa tapos ang details pero nai-imagine ko na,” gushed the bride-to-be.
Despite the fact that they’re both celebrities, the low-key couple are hoping for a private and solemn wedding.
“Church wedding tapos ang reception sa Radisson Blue and sa December ang wedding,” revealed Kaye. “Request ng family na private ang wedding pero magpo-provide naman ng videos ng wedding para mas solemn at intimate sana.”

Kaye and Paul Jake were best friends before they started dating in 2014. Two years later, at a surprise birthday party to celebrate Kayes’s 34th, he proposed.

In their first interview as a couple on The Buzz back in 2014, Kaye expressed her hesitation about entering into a relationship with Jake, not wanting to lose him as a friend.
“Ang hirap mag-take ng risk kasi magkaibigan [kami]. He’s one of my closest friends so kung hindi mag-work, mawawalan na ako ng boyfriend, mawawalan pa ako ng kaibigan,” she said.
“I don’t know what kind of relationship people are in if they don’t see themselves getting married.”
But the hesitation was quickly replaced by certainty when, just two months into their relationship, they were already talking about getting married.
“We are taking it to the next level that’s why from friends, we became lovers… I don’t know what kind of relationship people are in if they don’t see themselves getting married,” said Paul Jake in the same interview.
“Pangmatagalan ito,” added Kaye. “Ita-try ko ‘yung best ko na mag-work din yung relationship na ‘to para hindi na rin naman masayang yung taon ko.”
