Brenda Quiseo Araneta, the concerned netizen who snapped and shared Mika's photo shares that she found the little girl roaming the streets of Quezon City. She posted a total of three photos, a photo of the little girl, a photo of her clothes, and a photo of her slipper that had her name written on it.
"Baka may nakakakilala ipm nalang ako. Pakishare na rin po. Taga holy spirit daw po sya," Brenda wrote on her Facebook post. Since then, it has been shared over 6,700 times.
There are still a lot of good people left in the world
Mika's parents must have been worried sick when she got lost. However, thanks to Brenda's efforts, she has finally been reunited with her parents. One of Mika's relatives has apologized to Brenda for the trouble.
A large number of netizens have commended Brenda for helping Mika get back to her family. These days, where a lot of social media posts are full of negativity, it's always nice to know that there are still a lot of good people left in the world.
It's also a good thing that Mika was found by someone who was willing to help her, since there are a lot of criminals roaming the streets who are also involved in human trafficking. We're just thankful that Mika did not become another statistic.
Keeping an eye on your kids
It might be pretty easy to think that keeping an eye on your kids is as simple as just literally watching them and knowing where they're going. Asking help from your relatives is a good way of making sure that your kids don't get lost when you're traveling or when you're in the mall.
- For older kids, you can give them a cellphone that you can use to contact them. That way, even if you guys split up, you're just a phone call away.
- Teach them what to do in case they get lost. You should teach your kids who to look for in case they get lost. For example, they can go to the information desk or look for a security guard if they get lost inside a mall. It also helps to have a designated meeting point in case you guys get split up.
- Make them memorize important information. Important information such as your address and your home phone number should be memorized by your kids. That way, they can seek help and provide important information in case they get lost.
