LJ Reyes struck a pose during the New York Fashion Week

LJ attended the show of American designer Brandon Maxwell on Friday, September 11. It was the S/S 2022 collection of American designers. She also uploaded several videos from the event on her Instagram stories.

She also expressed her fangirling moment including a clip of supermodel Gigi Hadid walking the runway.
“My first #NYFW!!! And it was such an eye candy!!! And can’t get over @gigihadid and these creations,” Reyes wrote on her Instagram story.

It was known that the actress flew to the United States to recover from her breakup with Paolo Contis. She is now staying in New York together with her children, Aki and Summer.
Reyes said that she felt the need to leave the Philippines so that she and her children “can all emotionally and mentally recover.”

LJ Reyes on breakup with Paolo Contis
In an interview uploaded on Boy Abunda’s youtube channel, LJ Reyes opened up about her breakup issue with former partner, Paolo Contis. The netizens already speculate breakup of the couple of weeks before her interview. The social media people noticed that Paolo Contis has unfollowed LJ and wipes out all her photos on Instagram.
“Umabot sa point na nag-break na po kami. After a few days, na-realize ko na ‘di pwede ganito. Nagbaba ako ng pride kahit ako ‘yung nasasaktan. Inisip ko baka kailangan nila ng complete family. Tinanong ko siya, ‘if you want to take us back.’ Pero hindi na raw,” Reyes told Abunda.
Breakup is not a mutual decision
Reyes shared that their breakup is not a mutual decision.
“Hindi siya mutual. Kasi naniniwala ako na kapag mutual ang isang desisyon, ito ay pareho kayong sumasang-ayon na hindi na nagwo-work ‘yong relationship,”
She also told Boy Abunda that Contis was already distant for months. Reyes shared that Contis was a home buddy until he started going out more often.
“Matagal ko nang nararamdaman na nakahiwalay na siya sa amin. Ramdam na ramdam ko po ‘yun. Honestly, ako po ang nagsabi na parang nasa ibang mundo na siya. At parang pakiramdam ko po, inaantay niya lang na manggaling sa akin.” Reyes said.
Reyes said that their relationship started being on rocks last year. The actress tried her best to fight for their relationship but guess it was not enough.
When asked about reuniting with Paolo
“Hindi po. As much as I really want a complete family, ‘yong mga nangyari po, hindi ko po kakayanin na maging malapit siya sa mga anak ko. Ganun po kasakit ‘yong mga nangyari, ganun po kahirap. Hindi ko lang po masabi on air, in public kung ano yung mga yun, pero hindi po kakayanin ng pusong nanay ko na ibalik siya sa buhay ng mga bata,” she answered.
Boy Abunda asked if the reason for the breakup is a third party, Reyes could not give definite answers and chose to remain silent. The actress shared that her priority is their children’s welfare. Although the actress is not yet sure whether they will stay in New York for good.
Good thing there are activities that can make her busy.
