49-year-old single mom Liliosa Lisondra has been through a lot in her life. When she was young, two of her uncles sexually abused her. 6 years ago, her beloved husband passed away because of a heart attack, leaving her to take care of their 3 kids. And on top of everything, she has been fighting cancer for 12 years.

Her children are her sole reason for living

Since her husband’s death, she took on the role of being the sole parent and provider to her three kids. Her eldest child is 22 years old, and already finished college. The second one is an 18-year-old incoming third year college student, and her youngest child is 16, and an incoming grade 11 student.

She said that her children are her sole reason for living.

Liliosa also prays everyday in hopes that God will extend her life so that she can still be able to take care of her children. Since she got cancer, she said that she just kept praying to God, since she didn’t have enough money for her medication. She adds that she would rather use the money for her children.

“I will keep fighting for my kids and I don’t want for them to experience my past,” she shares.

Her world almost came crashing down

Last March 2016, Liliosa received news that her eldest daughter was pregnant. When she first learned about it, she said that she felt her world came crashing down. She added that she was hoping her eldest daughter would be the one to help her pay the debts that have been piling up.

However, she eventually came to accept her daughter’s situation and still hopes that God will have good things in store for her and her family.

And in spite of her cancer, she never stops praying. She even added that every year, her cancer group loses a member, yet she still survives, in spite of not seeking treatment for her condition.
