For moms who are planning on having a child, knowing when you’re at your most fertile is important since it makes it much easier for you and your husband to have a child if you conceive during your most fertile period.

But how can you tell if you’re at your most fertile? Here are 6 signs to watch out for:

1. Increased sex drive

This is a good thing, since you obviously want to be ‘in the mood’ if you’re trying to conceive! A sudden spike in your sex drive means that you’re at your most fertile point during the month, and it’s a great time for you and your husband to get intimate.

2. Vaginal discharge

At your most fertile, your body produces more estrogen, which causes vaginal discharge. This discharge helps lubricate your vagina, and is a sign that your body is getting you ready to have a child.

3. Increased body temperature

You can try and monitor your temperature by using a thermometer first thing in the morning. Record your daily temperature, and if you see that there’s a sudden increase, then you might be at your most fertile.
