On the topic of name demise, Olivia has finally been pushed off the perch by Sophia, taking out the number one spot for this year. This was no mean feat given Olivia has been number one in the UK since 2014. It has also appeared in the top three in most Australian states for the last few years.

The hashtag "#nameinspo" was also a popular way for parents to share some of their favourite baby names, which led to a boost for the name, Ronnie, into the number 78 spot, which Mrs Hinch named her baby. Other popular names were Millie, Arthur, Theodore, Spencer, Hattie, Otis, Marley and Esme.
