Child abuse charges will be filed against the mother, and the child will be temporarily taken to the DSWD to be taken care of.

Hopefully, no more families will suffer

Hopefully, no more incidents such as this happen in the future. With drug abuse being one of the biggest problems in the country, it’s scary to think how many families, and children might suffer because of drug abuse.

At it’s core, drug abuse is a health problem, as people who are addicted to drugs tend to lose control of themselves as a side-effect of their addiction. A lot of drug pushers also prey on the poor and the underprivileged, who always try and seek a means of escape from the struggles of their daily life.

That’s why it’s important for us as Filipinos to be more compassionate and understanding of drug addicts. Granted, they might have made some mistakes, but we’re in no position to judge them. What they need post is our support, compassion, and understanding that someday they will recover from their addiction and get back on track with their lives.
