All of moms might be excited during their first pregnancy, but what it feels to have your second pregnancy? Scared? Happy? Anxious? Mixed emotions!

Let me share to you what I experienced during my second pregnancy.

It was August 2021 when I heard the news that I am pregnant. I was so shocked, but at the same time amazed because we didn’t plan to have another baby.

“Every pregnancy is different.” That’s what my OB said to me I was comparing my two pregnancies.

I was tagged with a high risk pregnancy due to hypertension and diabetes (diet controlled) which I never experienced with my first born. Monitoring of blood pressure and sugar is somewhat troublesome yet I took the challenge because of my baby.

One of the challenges I faced during my second pregnancy is breastfeeding my eldest while being pregnant. People kept on criticizing me and that made me frustrated. Maybe it was a mother’s instinct that made me stay firm to my actions and continued to breastfed my eldest even all of them told me stop.

Another is the pandemic. Because of some restrictions I am cautious especially at work and travelling. The good this is I was fully vaccinated. But because of the pandemic, my husband was terminated from his work. His client preferred to have a fully vaccinated staff. It brought us money problems.

Maybe when you are pregnant and you are in a situation like this I don’t really know how we survived all of this. Money shortage. Health problems. People kept on throwing negative vibes and many more. Toxic work environment.

Those experiences taught me to be more brave and understanding. Being mother was never an easy task yet so fulfilling especially when you heard your baby cry as you delivered him/her in this world safe and healthy.
