After a month’s hiatus from social media, Neri Naig is back on Instagram, where she revealed that she has been avoiding stress because of her sensitive pregnancy.

The actress and wife of Chito Miranda, lead vocalist of Parokya ni Edgar, said she has been taking it easy for the baby’s sake.

“Yes, maselan ako magbuntis. Kaya maraming iniiwasan. Bawal stress. Happy thoughts lang lagi,” she admitted in an Instagram post on June 27, Monday.

(“I have a delicate pregnancy. So I have to avoid a lot of things, like stress. Just happy thoughts all the time.”)

Neri was last seen on social media in a photo shared by Chito on Father’s Day.

“Hindi talaga ako nagsocial media ng a month ata kase nagpapahinga lang ako at ayaw ko rin ng may mga kausap. Gusto ko tahimik lang,” she revealed.

(I really did not go on social media for around a month because I was resting, and I didn’t want to talk. I wanted quiet.)

Limiting her activities and interaction with other people

“Mga kapatid, asawa ko, at nanay ko lang kinakausap ko,” Neri said, adding that even her friends have not heard from her.

(My siblings, husband, and mother were the only ones I spoke to.)

So what has she been up to? Aside from watching her favorite TV shows, Neri has been engaging in other quiet, restful activities.

“Kapag nakakabangon naman ako at di nahihirapan, I paint. Or nagpa-puzzle ako. Or kumakanta,” she shared.

(When I am able to get up without difficulty, I paint or do puzzles or sing.)

Grateful for a caring husband

Neri is grateful for Chito’s tender loving care. His attention to her needs, she said, has made her pregnancy woes more bearable.

“I am very thankful kase super ako alagaan ng asawa ko kahit gaano pa sya kapagod sa trabaho at byahe. Kahit nahihirapan ako, andyan siya lagi at napapagaan nya kahit papaano ang pakiramdam ko,” she gushed.

(I am very grateful for the way my husband takes care of me even when he’s tired from work and travel. Even though I’m having a difficult time, he is there to make me feel better.)

“Kaya saludo ako sa lahat ng mga mister na andyan para sa mga misis nila lalo na’t nahihirapan magbuntis,” she also said.

(I admire all husbands who are there for their wives, especially those whose wives have difficult pregnancies.)

Pregnancy symptoms

“Iba ang pagbubuntis ko ngayon kumpara last year. Lahat na lang ng symptoms ng buntis, pinakyaw ko,” Neri said.

(My pregnancy now is different from last year. I’m experiencing all the pregnancy symptoms.)

This is Neri’s second pregnancy. She suffered a miscarriage last year.

But Neri was quick to say that she is happy about her pregnancy despite the discomforts.

“Mahirap pero hindi ako nagrereklamo dahil ang dream ko talaga maliban sa magka-farm, ay maging housewife at maging mommy. Di bale na ako yung mahirapan basta ok at safe si baby,” she said.

(It’s difficult but I am not complaining because it’s been my dream to be a housewife and mother, aside from having a farm. It’s okay for me to suffer as long as the baby is okay.)

Neri also thanked everyone for their well wishes.
