Let’s face it, contouring takes a lot of work—who on earth has the time? Thankfully, the newest makeup trend helps you look gorgeous without as much effort. “Non-touring” was coined by celebrity makeup artist Renee Sanganoo, who explained to Marie Claire that non-touring is “very soft” compared to a “heavy contoured look.”

“It just looks more natural.”

“It’s about dewy and glowy skin—you don’t want the skin to look super matte or dry,” Sanganoo continued. “It’s kind of like Spanx for the skin. You know you’re wearing it, but no one’s supposed to see it. In the summer, people are outside more and they tend to wear lighter foundation. It just looks more natural.”

It just takes three easy steps to get the non-toured look. Click to the next page to find out how to do it.

How to get the non-toured look

You just need three products for non-touring. If the steps look familiar to you, it’s probably because it’s almost exactly like strobing. What’s the difference? Non-touring falls in the middle; you still get that sculpt you strive for with contouring, but with a more luminous glow.

1.

Find a primer that’s good for your skin type. Instead of using a primer that’s “super matte,” choose one that’s more dewy.

2.

Use a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream instead of a heavy, full coverage foundation. Use concealer for the under-eye area and blemishes.

3.

Brush highlighter above the cheekbones, under the brow bone, down the bridge of your nose, and on your cupid’s bow.
