Ayala Land and Make It Makati, in collaboration with the local Government of Makati brought back the biggest New Year’s Eve Countdown to ring in 2024, marking 24 years since Makati launched the Philippines’ very first grand-scale New Year's Eve countdown in 1999! Featuring headliners Regine Velasquez and SB19, along with other local performers, and with direction from the acclaimed Paolo Valenciano, "Nostalgia Meets the Future: Ayala Avenue New Year’s Eve Countdown to 2024" not only celebrated the coming of the New Year but also showcased Filipino talent.
Over 3.5 million people joined the celebration either on-ground or via the livestreamed event. The celebration was all about Filipino pride, as the spotlight shone on Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, P-Pop sensation SB19, Sponge Cola, Al James, and a team of talented musical theatre artists led by Gab Pangilinan and Myke Salomon. The event also delighted guests with a visual and auditory feast—the 3D-stage setup, complete with 7-meter tall LED screens, brought an immersive countdown experience unlike any other! Completing the affair was a 6-minute fireworks display that culminated in an iconic celebration in the city.
