1. Your cutting board

Think about it, you chop meat, veggies, and all sorts of different foods on your chopping board. And simply scrubbing your chopping board to clean it won’t do, since tiny food particles can get into the grooves of the chopping board.

Make sure to wash your chopping boards thoroughly, and then soak for a few hours in a mixture of bleach and water in order to make sure that all of the bacteria are dead.

Just like your chopping board, your kitchen sponge gets exposed to all sorts of food particles. And these particles, especially from raw meat, is home to a lot of bacteria which can be dangerous.

Obviously, you don’t want to spread germs by using a dirty sponge, so in order to make sure that it’s clean, place your wet sponge in the microwave, and heat it on the lowest setting for 30 seconds. This will kill the germs in the sponge, and it’s an easy way to make sure it’s clean.

Carpets are notorious for being home to a lot of germs and bacteria, especially since carpets are hard to clean.
