Pregnancy Care
  • Brush up on your pregnancy hormone knowledge.
  • Keep yourself hydrated, stop bad habits like smoking or drinking alcohol, and cut down on caffeine intake.
  • Relax and take care of yourself
  • Your body is about to embark on a new adventure, so treat it well. Try these ways to prepare your body for conception and pregnancy:
Pregnancy Symptoms
  • Rise & drop in temperature: Your basal body temperature (BBT), will drop to its lowest point just before you ovulate, then will rise up about half a degree as soon as ovulation occurs. Therefore buy a special digital basal thermometer and start tracking!
  • Breast soreness: In addition to the uterus, the breasts undergo significant changes in pregnancy as they get ready to produce milk and this change can be felt in the early stages of pregnancy.
  • Frequent urination: Pregnancy hormones will cause you to take more trips to the toilet in the first two weeks of pregnancy.
  • Increased sex drive: The surge of estrogen during ovulation & hormonal changes in your body will get you turned on more often for some baby-making sex.
  • Bloating: Your body is starting to realize that you're pregnant. This means you could suffer from a bit of gas and bloating at 2 weeks pregnant.
  • Other symptoms include Morning Sickness, Fatigue, Cervical changes, Mild cramping, Strong smells, etc. There’s nothing substantial to worry about these symptoms, but make sure to note it all down and update it to your doctor.
Your Baby's Development
  • If you do conceive at 2 weeks pregnant, chances are you won’t really notice anything different at all. Home pregnancy tests detect pregnancy hormones from week 4 onwards which is the same time you’ll probably miss your period. You may not technically be pregnant yet, but you should start taking prenatal vitamins and try to stop bad eating & drinking habits.
