Communicating with your kids is a two-way street. It involves not only telling your child what you want to say, but also listening to what your child is trying to tell you. It’s important to make sure that communication between you and your child is open and non-confrontational so that your child won’t feel threatened whenever you have a conversation.

Additionally, communication isn’t always for serious matters. Talking to your child and asking about their day is important so that your child can feel loved and appreciated, and that you’re giving your child much needed attention.
