Feeling lucky? PCSO 6/49 Super Lotto is now P58 million!

Feeling lucky? PCSO 6/49 Super Lotto is now P58 million!Feeling lucky? PCSO 6/49 Super Lotto is now P58 million!

Dreaming of retiring early? It's time to try your luck, especially with P58 million on the line.

You may have heard about the jaw-dropping $1.6 billion that was won during the Powerball Jackpot in the US a few days ago, where three more-than-lucky winners split the prize.

The stakes were high and people (even those in Canada) were going crazy. Understandably so, as to win the hefty pot money meant possibly never working another day again.

Though the jackpot prize is nowhere close to the $1.6 billion, PCSO’s 6/49  Super Lotto draw tonight – which puts a cool P58 million up for grabs – is making many Filipinos feeling a little crazed themselves.

At the last January 19 draw, the Super Lotto Jackpot prize was estimated at P55 million. Fortunately for us, no winner was proclaimed. (The winning numbers drawn were 38-27-46-15-08-49.) According to PCSO, “The odds of winning the first prize at the Super Lotto jackpot are one in 13,983,816.”

So pull out your four-leaf clovers and lucky rabbit’s feet, and put your luck on the line. This may be the very day you win it big!

We asked some of our readers, "If you won P58 million, what would you do with it?"

“I had my children choose numbers for us, and bought each of them a ticket. They’ve been lucky in my life, sana they’ll be lucky with the numbers, too!” shares Evelyn Dacumos, mother of 5. “If I won, I would buy a rest house for my family. Then invest in properties that would allow me to earn passive income, and I would donate to a children’s fund through the church.”

For Ghia Erasquin, housewife and mother of three, says, “I’d pay off debts, buy a big lot and build a small house, invest in insurance and the stock market, and travel with my entire family. I’d make sure that the money will work for me through investing. Mabilis mawala ang pera kaya you have to be wise where you spend it.”

“I’d compute how much is needed for my son and future baby's education, and put it in an investment fund - index fund. Then, I would compute 10% for tithing which is P5 million, and P800,000 will go out to charitable institutions, as well as friends and families who are in need,” shares Denise Roco, VP Admin and Finance of Raroco Insurance Brokers, Inc.

“I would buy property like farmland in my province of Nueva Ecija. Then I would set up a business so that my husband, who works in Singapore, can come home. It’s my dream that my family be together,” shares Dane Valino, mother of two and work-at-home mom.

“Since my children are working and all grown up, I’d put away a few millions for each of them as inheritance, then I’m gonna buy me a new car AND motorcycle,” shares Sonny Dacumos, retired airline engineer.
