PO1 Jeffrey Perez and PO1 Ricky Arquilita have been arrested after warrants were issued for the charges of murder, torture, planting of drug evidence and planting of firearms evidence against Carl Angelo Arnaiz and Reynaldo ‘Kulot’ de Guzman

No bail was recommended for the policemen’s arrest

The warrants of arrest were issued by the Caloocan City Regional Trial Court (RTC), against the policemen who were charged with the murder and torture of Carl Angelo Arnaiz and Kulot de Guzman.

The warrants of arrest were dated January 23, and no bail was recommended for the policemen’s arrest.

According to a statement from the DOJ, “They planned and committed all the crimes with a common desire to eliminate their subjects. They even portrayed the death of Carl Angelo as the product of a shoot-out in a legitimate police/hot pursuit in order to cover up the intended killings of Carl Angelo and Reynaldo ‘Kulot.’

Murder charges against the taxi driver were dismissed by the court.
