Pregnancy is really a challenging but memorable moment in woman’s life if she’s wants to be a mother. There’s a lot of sacrifices that a pregnant woman do.

You have to sacrifice a lot of things and endure a lot of pain in this process. For me, there’s nothing difficult if at the end of the day you can kiss and hug your little one.

All of the sacrifices, challenges and pain is all worth it. In my experience me and my husband waited for 2 years for this blessing to arrive. So here are some of the things that I need to sacrifice doing while I’m pregnant that time.

8 things I need to sacrifice while I’m pregnant

1. TRAVEL

My husband and i have taken advantage of the 2 years of honeymoon stage that we had for travelling.  Since we did not experience travelling/overnights during our bf-gf stage.

We were thankful to be given a chance to explore and enjoy quality time together by visiting different places. When I became pregnant, I gave up travelling. Its a personal choice, and I don’t have anything against couples who still choose to travel.

I feel that time, I need to focus on what God has given us – this blessing. I also felt I need to do some sacrifices. Anyway, God has given us 2 years for travelling, 9 months wouldn’t really hurt.

I just stayed at home from work during weekdays. Hotel Staycations in nearby cities are just some of the pampering I have experienced, aside from going to the mall and dining out.

2. SPA

Body Massages are prohibited when you are pregnant. This is one of the things that I really missed doing – and one of the things I’m looking forward to do again.

Well at least I am able to experience Manicure/Pedicure.

3. SAUNA

Sauna is also not allowed once you get pregnant. Of course, being exposed to hot environment would be harmful to your baby.
So, this is in my check list too after I gave birth.

4. STREET FOODS

I am a fan of foods being bought on the streets. Lahat ng tinutusok, tinutuhog – gusto ko ‘yan!

But I need to be more careful in the food I eat because I want to prevent my self getting diseases and for my baby. So, I really looked forward eating isaw after I gave birth.

5. SOFTDRINKS

Actually, I’m not really fond of drinking soft drinks. That’s why its not too hard for me back then to refuse drinking soft drinks. But sometimes, especially during summer and some occasions its really hard to resist.

6. EGGPLANT

This one is just a pamahiin. But there’s nothing wrong in following an old wives tale – so i just followed it too.

7. COFFEE

I’m not really a coffee drinker, but the aroma of it is so temping. Especially at the office when everyone is having their coffee breaks. It’s really hard to resist the smell of it but I had to.

But of course I did what’s the best for my baby and me. Since caffeine is bad for the baby. So, I stop drinking  coffee for 9 months.

8. FACEBOOK/SOCIAL MEDIA

I had to constraint myself because I don’t want to be affected on what I will see online. Whether its a good or bad thing, I just wanted to really focus on my pregnancy and my baby by living each day silently.

Are you also a Traditonal person like me? If not, are there some things that you also gave up when you got pregnant? I want to know!!!
