Following the public split of Jovit Baldivino from Shara Chavez, with whom he has a baby daughter, Shara’s dad has spoken up about the issue.

On an episode of Rated K, Allan Chavez shared how he had always treated Jovit like a son. “Sadya namang kahit pa noong una, anak ang turing ko sa kanya. Pero sa mga nakaraang araw, wala, wala kahit ni text o ano pa man, akong natatanggap,” he said, recounting how Jovit became distant, irritable, and addicted to gambling while Shara was pregnant.

But he is still hoping that Jovit and Shara will be able to sort things out if they can. “Sa ngayon, ang masasabi ko lang, kung kaya niyang ayusin pa ‘yung problema, gawan niya ng paraang maayos,” he said in the interview.

During the same episode, Shara described Jovit as “irresponsible” and not yet ready to become a dad. Recalling the time after she gave birth, she lamented that Jovit became even more distant and quick to get angry. He would often stay out all night and not provide for her and their child. Despite this, she was willing to endure everything for the love of their daughter, but finding out Jovit may have been cheating was the last straw.
