The adorable fight between siblings Danica and Deniel seemed just like any other kulitan, but the video quickly went viral, garnering them unexpected national attention.

In the clip, we see Denise trying to sing the Tagalog version of Luther Vandross’ hit song, Dance With My Father. In true little brother fashion, Deniel is seen mumbling in the background, trying to steal the spotlight from his ate. Denise’s annoyance turns to anger and she quickly hits her brother in the face, scolding him for interrupting a video she plans to “send to Facebook”.

Her brother looks shocked for a moment but quickly retaliates, punching Denise in the back. The latter starts crying hysterically and the video cuts off.

Their viral clip spawned funny parodies, even by celebrity Maine Mendoza, and it also grabbed the attention of GMA’s award-winning show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho.

The heartwarming reason behind the hilarity

In the show’s segment featuring Denise and Deniel, we found out that there is actually a heartwarming reason behind the video.

9-year-old Denise wanted to upload the video to grab the attention of her estranged father, who she says left her mom without a word. Denise’s mom works hard to provide for her and her four siblings.
