UP Diliman student goes missing, family pleads for help

He last texted his parents on Tuesday morning, January 12, informing them that he had arrived at the U.P. Diliman campus to enroll.

A post is currently being shared on facebook; it is the plea of a worried aunt who is asking the public for help to find his nephew who went missing in the U.P. Diliman campus on the day of enrollment.

The BS Industrial Engineering freshman Ian Jasper M. Calalang was just supposed to go to the campus to enroll for the second semester of SY 2015-2016.

According to inquirer.net, he last texted his parents to inform them that he had arrived on campus at around 8:30 am on Tuesday morning, January 12, 2016.

He was carrying money intended for his enrollment and his family has been desperately trying to get ahold of him for two days, as of this writing.

Marissa told inquirer.net, that Ian’s parents to look for him but they found out that he was unable to enroll. She also said that Ian was a good son and that he always informs his parents through calls or text messages.

Any information on Calalang’s whereabouts can be reported to his family at 0932-222-0864 and 0917-339-0488 or to the U.P. Diliman Student Council.

In her facebook post, Marissa Patawaran says, “This is my nephew IAN JASPER M. CALALANG. Yesterday (january12,2016) was his enrolment day at UP Diliman, Qc. He was able to inform his parents that he was already inside the campus at around 8:30am. This was his LAST text message! From then on till now..january13, 2016, 1:30pm, he is nowhere to be found nor be reached even his cellphone. We humbly ask everyone to please coordinate with us regarding any information of his whereabouts. Please contact us thru these cp numbers: 0932-222-0864; 0917-339-0488 . Thank you. God bless us all.”
