WATCH: Mariel Padilla gives birth to a baby girl!

Robin, who was denied a U.S. Visa, shared a clip of Mariel in labor and apologized for not being by her side. More details, here.

Actress and TV Host Mariel Padilla has given birth to her first child with husband Robin Padilla in Delaware, U.S.A. on November 14, 2016.

Baby Isabella is Mariel and Robin’s first child after six years of marriage. They tied the knot on August 19, 2010 in India.

Knowing that she had a delicate condition – Mariel suffered two miscarriages in the past – she made the decision to fly to the U.S. to receive extra medical attention.

Robin, who was denied a U.S. Visa despite his persistent attempts to obtain one, shared a video conversation he had with Mariel while she was in labor. In the clip, which you can watch below, Robin apologized for not being able to be there with her during the birth of their first child.

‘Isabella was born 7:56 am on November 14,2016, 7.3 lbs and 20 inches. Exactly 21 hours of labor and Normal Delivery…’

“Isabella was born 7:56 am on November 14,2016, 7.3 lbs and 20 inches. Exactly 21 hours of labor and Normal Delivery,” shared Robin in his post. “Maraming salamat po Mahal na Panginoong maylikha sa biyaya ng buhay at kaligayahan. Nagpapasalamat po ako sa mga taong inyong inalay sa amin upang maalagaan ang aking asawa sa kanyang maselan na pagbubuntis hanggang sa panganganak.”

Padilla was convicted in 1994 for possession of illegal firearms. So obtaining travel permits has been a challenge for him ever since.

We can’t wait to see baby Isabella’s first photos!

Among the Sunnahs for welcoming the newborn, the scholars mentioned that the Adhaan should be recited into the baby’s right ear so that the first thing he hears in this world will be the words of Tawheed, which will have a great and blessed effect on the child. With regard to reciting the iqaamah in the child’s left ear, there is nothing to prove that this is required. (See al-Silsilat al-Da’eefah, 1/491). Fourthly: Shaving the child’s head then anointing the child’s head with saffron is very beneficial. Then it is prescribed to give in charity gold or silver equal in weight to the hair. This does not have to be done by actually weighing the hair; if it is too difficult to do that, it is sufficient to estimate the weight and give paper currency equivalent to the price of that amount of gold or silver. We ask Allaah to protect us and our children from all evil and to keep them safe and sound in this world and in the Hereafter. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad.
