What activities are safe for pregnant women to do?

For pregnant moms, it’s very important to always put you and your baby’s safety first. However, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t exercise or do any activities for fear of harming your baby.

Here’s a handy list of which activities are safe for pregnant women to do:

1. Sports

Pregnant women can still engage in sports, so long as you avoid contact sports, and avoid any sport where there’s a risk that you might fall.

For women in their first trimester, sports such as badminton or tennis are okay, so long as you don’t strain yourself too hard.

2. Drinking coffee

Yup, if you’re a coffee drinker, you don’t need to worry about giving up your beloved brew. However, you can drink at most a cup of coffee every day, and it would be best to drink decaf or low-caffeine coffee just to be sure.

3. Eating chocolates

Chocolates have a small amount of caffeine, but generally, it would be safe for pregnant moms to eat chocolates in moderate amounts.

4. You can run a marathon!

Surprisingly, running a marathon would be okay for pregnant moms, especially if you’ve been running marathons before. Just make sure that you’re constantly hydrated and you ask permission from your doctor before joining any marathons.
