It was a dream come true for Jhommel Molina and his family when Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza visited her in the hospital on June 25, Saturday.
Jhommel, an avid fan of Alden and Maine, has been in the hospital since May 20 for lung-related complications and a growth near her heart.
Sixteen-year-old Jhommel, who also suffers from cerebral palsy, is currently confined in the Intensive Care Unit of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center. She is undergoing chemotherapy and is also dependent on a respirator to aid her breathing.
Alden and Maine gifted Jhommel with a teddybear, an autographed magazine, fruit basket, and cake.
According to Rommel Molina, father of Jhommel, the visit gave his daughter unparalleled joy.
(“The joy that you have given my only child is unparalleled. I know you are super busy but you still squeezed in a visit to my child.”)
God Bless! Thank you…,” he also said.
(“…my wife and I are truly grateful that you granted our simple request…more power to Eat Bulaga! To Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, we hope you bring joy and help to many more! God bless! Thank you…”)

A father’s plea
In an open letter posted on Facebook on June 22, Rommel narrated how watching Eat Bulaga has been a tradition in their family.
Jhommel, in particular, loved to watch the noontime show, and always looked forward to the skits featuring Alden and Maine.
(“My daughter Jhommel has the most fun when watching Eat Bulaga. She is an avid fan of Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards. She squeals with delight over the love team of Aldub sa Kalyeserye.”)
According to Rommel, Jhommel idolizes Maine, and has a crush on Alden.
(“For her, watching Eat Bulaga has become part of her lunch routine.”)
But, Rommel said, Jhommel has not been able to watch her favorite show since May because watching TV in the ICU is prohibited.
(I am writing you as a father who loves his child very much…I ask you to help me in my simple request to urge Alden and Maine to visit my child.”)
(“I just want to make my daughter happy even just for a moment, especially now that her birthday is near. I know that she will be really happy if her idol and her crush visit her.”)
Rommel’s open letter quickly became viral and caught the attention of the Aldub Nation.
