Manila, Philippines – Best Buddies Philippines is excited to announce a series of remarkable achievements that are making a real impact on the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Job Success for 32 Bright Futures

Best Buddies Philippines proudly announces the success of its Pre-Employment Program, which has empowered 32 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to acquire essential skills and confidence for entering the workforce. Thanks to collaborations with 20 companies and 19 industry experts, participants engaged in 12 sessions covering career ambitions, practical job skills, and STEAM subjects. The Public Affairs Sector of the U.S. Embassy played a crucial role in making this initiative possible.

Best Buddies Philippines collaborated with Nexus Technologies for Pre Employment Session 10 focused on artificial intelligence (AI). Participants learned how to utilize ChatGPT and how to generate effective prompts for job search.

The organization is now expanding its Friendship Programs to communities in Samar, Leyte, and Cebu. This growth represents a significant step towards creating new opportunities for inclusion and friendship for individuals with IDD.
