There are many reason why breastfeeding is most beneficial. Bet you didn’t know these!

We are all aware that breastfeeding is beneficial not just for babies but for mothers as well. Here are some of the reasons why breastfeeding is good:

  • promotes bond between baby and mummy
  • helps mummy lose weight easily
  • lowers cardiovascular risk
  • decreases chances for postpartum depression

So there’s no arguing that breastfeeding is the best way to feed baby.

Recently, researchers found one more good thing about breastfeeding. In a study on the relationship between breastfeeding and diabetes conducted in the US, it was discovered that breastfeeding can significantly lower the risk for diabetes. According to the experts, breastfeeding mothers were able to maintain normal blood glucose levels and fats just a few weeks after childbirth. They had less belly fat and higher levels of good cholesterol.

The study, conducted over a 20-year period, included 704 women ages 18 to 30.
