After being featured on ABS-CBN’s Umagang Kay Ganda, Reano’s love story with partner Rosalinda Labajo inspired many viewers that love knows no distance.
But with any great love story comes struggles.
According to the Visayan Daily Star, Reano was confined at Corazon Locsin M. Montelibano Memorial Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City. ABS-CBN later reported that Bryan had passed away.
His partner Rosalinda says that Bryan developed a cold due to the heat. The simple cold sadly led to a severe case of Pneumonia.
So he was brought to the hospital where he was immediately placed on life support, breathing through a respirator and was being fed through a nasogastric tube.
Since Rosalinda is rarely able to leave his side to tend to their business of selling turon and lumpia, this has left them little income for their increased financial needs.
“I am his only family here,” she told the Visayan Daily Star.
Bryan was working as a waiter in Paris when he met Rosalinda online and fell in love with her.
It was a whirlwind romance.
He then decided to sell his possessions so he could transfer to the Philippines and stay with her for good. He didn’t mind the heat and the exhaustion that was caused by selling their wares around Bacolod.
“She, Labajo, made me laugh so I sold my house, my car, and everything I owned and came to the Philippines,” he said.
Though their love story met a untimely end, Bryan and Rosalinda’s story has inspired many couples that true love knows no limits.
Bryan passed away on December 22, 2015 at 6:40 am, according to ABS-CBN. Watch the full report here.
