Cetaphil Baby recently hosted an inspiring event at Señorita Sunae, bringing together a community of mothers to share their experiences, learn from each other, and celebrate the beautiful journey of motherhood.
The event focused on supporting first-time moms and featured discussions, product presentations, expert insights, and engaging activities.
Cetaphil Baby Country Brand Manager Lyka Lopez commenced the event by emphasizing the importance of gentle and hypoallergenic skincare for babies. The event’s host, Patty Laurel-Filart, introduced the various Cetaphil Baby product lines that are Pediatrician and Dermatologist Recommended and Approved. These included the Organic Calendula range, ideal for newborns. Calendula is known for its anti-inflammatory and healing properties to soothe a baby’s sensitive skin. Brand ambassador Andi Manzano and Board-Certified Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist, Dr. Mara Huber, shared their personal insights on motherhood and self-care. They discussed the four pillars of raising a healthy baby: healthy food, healthy play, healthy sleep, and healthy skin.

Dr. Huber, drawing from her expertise, emphasized the importance of healthy skin care for babies, highlighting her experience in addressing various dermatological issues in infants. She mentioned the importance of choosing the appropriate skincare for every stage of a baby’s early life. “When they’re newborns, you have to be exceedingly careful about their skincare routine. Start with simple. As they get older and start to be more exposed to different environments, you have to adjust and make certain changes because it’s not good for their development if you keep them away from the world,” said Dr. Huber.
Andi Manzano, accompanied by daughter Amelia, who engaged in playful activities as the event went on, and her youngest Lucia, who waved back at everyone, reminded all the moms in the audience to give themselves grace and enjoy the journey of motherhood. She also stressed the importance of Mommy Time: “When they’re sleeping, that’s time for me.”
She further shared a funny anecdote regarding Amelia’s new eating tendencies: “She likes watching me bathe her baby sister,” said Andi. “And now she even wants to start bathing herself! I don’t want her to be too independent yet.”
The event featured a series of quick games and interactive sessions led by Mamacademy PH, a community focused on empowering mothers through learning. New moms had the opportunity to learn about bathing and swaddling tips for healthy skin and sleep and participate in short seminars on fostering healthy play and providing nourishing food for their babies. “Make sure your husband also knows how to do these things,” said Li Tayag. “You both need to share the responsibility of raising your baby.”
The Cetaphil Baby Baby Dialogues event concluded with a sense of camaraderie and empowerment among the attendees. Moms are left with a wealth of knowledge, newfound friendships, and the confidence to embark on the wonderful journey of motherhood.
