Breaking her silence on rumors that have been circulating this past week, the actress finally admitted that she has left her husband Jojo Oconer after five years of marriage. She took to Instagram to break this sad news to her fans and followers.
In her most recent post, she shares that the past weeks have been difficult for her and her son. She also revealed that she has moved back in with her parents, Senator Tito Sotto and veteran actress Helen Gamboa.
Ciara married Jojo in 2010 and they had their first child, Vincenzo Xose, last year.
“The truth is painful, but it is what it is. I know that the Lord will strengthen me after this,” writes Ciara. “I prefer to keep my privacy at this time and I would appreciate the public respecting this. Thank you to those who are sending me messages of support and encouragement.”
Though Ciara cited no specific reason for the separation, a slew of Instagram posts hints at the possibility that he cheated on her.
