Most in the private and even public sector have exercised the work from home arrangement enforced by the National Government as a way of minimizing the spread of the virus. However, this set-up is not for everyone.
A good number of our countrymen need to provide necessary services, especially professionals in the medical field, police and military officers, and countless men and women who are taking great pains and sacrifice as they perform their duties to the country and the people. They are the modern-day heroes and their dedication and compassion inspire.
For those in the field, one of the many obstacles they face is where to have their next meal. In an effort to alleviate the sacrifice of our modern-day heroes, Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant, has decided to extend a helping hand by providing delight to these heroic members of the community. This effort concretizes the sole purpose of the Udenna Foundation as it drives CommUnity Care, a pioneering initiative that unites all the companies under the Udenna Group to serve the Filipino people and face these challenging times as one.
Joey Garcia, Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant President and CEO said, “These are the times where the company’s values are evident, God-centeredness, Creativity, Quality Focus, Accountability, Teamwork, and Guest Orientation.”
“These modern-day heroes are our guests. We anticipate their needs in the way Conti’s is known for, which is bringing delightful experiences. We hope that amidst this challenging time, our modern-day heroes are honored, acknowledged, and very much appreciated for their acts of mercy and sacrifice for the good of the Filipino,” Garcia further said.

Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant believes Modern Day Heroes are not just found in hospitals or clinics, but they are also front liners as Supermarket Clerks at SM Supermarket, Watsons, and as Bankers from MetroBank, and BDO to make sure that necessities are met even during these trying times, reason why they made sure that they are able to bring delight to their stations as they extend a helping hand through donation of goodies to retail servicing workers.

The Delightful History of Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant
The family business was established by three sisters, Cecille Maranon, Carolle Sumulong, and Angie Martinez in 1997 which started in BF Homes, Parañaque catering to only within the neighborhood until realizing that there was a growing following that came with the brand, which called for a need for expansion.
Today, Conti’s Holdings Corp. has been bringing families and friends together in one table over good food and conversations for over twenty-two years. The delicious stories that customers spoke of about their signature Baked Salmon, Chicken Pie, and Mango Bravo cake helped the history of Conti’s paint a beautiful picture of the bakeshop and restaurant that reminded loyal customers of the goodness and comfort of having home-cooked meals in generous portions.
