Details on how the kidnapping happened and how the child was returned were not mentioned.

Police precinct turned them away

Once the child was recovered, the aunt said that the father allegedly went to the Mangagoy Police Precinct in Bislig, Surigao del sur to file a complaint.

According to the aunt, the father was reportedly turned away and not allowed to file charges because there was no suspect in the case. The police also apparently did not release their names to the family or choose to be identified.

Family outraged at lack of action

Dissatisfied with how the Mangagoy police handled the matter, Olayvee took to social media to gain attention for her nephew’s plight.

Olayvee has mentioned in her social media posts that the Department of Social Welfare and Development has reportedly also gotten in contact with the family, but she says it is too late.

She also said that the little boy is now doing well and is recovering from the ordeal.

Olayvee has mentioned that someone has asked her to take down the photos of the child. She adamantly refused, saying,
